European Steel Skills Agenda
EUROFER works with a range of stakeholders, including its steel-producing members, trade unions and policy makers on social topics.
Social dialogue is vital to the sustainability and success of the sector, because it is the employees and workers in the sector that make the steel industry what it is. Some 330,000 people work directly for the steel industry. 2.6 million jobs, in total, depend on the sector.
This is why ensuring there is a sufficient skills base is so important - as is continuing an open and transparent dialogue with employees already working within, or around, the sector.
European Steel in Figures 2024 is EUROFER's statistical handbook, laying out in an easy-to-use format the key statistics and data about the performance and footprint of one of Europe's most important strategic sectors
